An
original drawing by Paul E. Wirt - dated December of 1902.
This would become one of his swelled case pens. Notice that it is
initialed P.E.W. |
| A
Paul Wirt fountain pen patent from France. |
Top of page from a 1920s Paul E Wirt Fountain Pen Company Ledger.
I acquired several of these record books a few years ago.
A wooden crate from the Paul E. Wirt Fountain Pen Company. This
crate was used for storing taper caps in.

Another wooden crate from the factory. This one used to store
barrels.
A group of Wirt fountain pen boxes.

The
infamous Wirt "boards". Quite a few of these boards
survived through the years & popped up about 5 years ago. They
probably date from the turn of the century but were probably used for at
least 20 years. |
| One
side of the Wirt brochure from the 1920s. I have seen these called
posters or signs but they are brochures that just need to be folded. |

Opposite
side of brochure. |
| Paul
Wirt Fountain Pen catalog from 1905. This came from the collection
of a man from New England who probably purchased it 40 or 50 years ago. |

Logo
from back side of catalog appears to be a Pheonix holding two
pens. May have something to do with Wirt's line of Phenix pens. |
| Thousands
of slip on pocket clips that were in the factory & never used. |

Wirt
eye dropper instruction sheet from 1890s. |
| Glass
& rubber eyedroppers from the Paul E Wirt fountain Pen
factory. Do they even make glass eye droppers today? |

Wirt
envelope probably from the 1920s - from the factory. |
| An
entire roll of Wirt address labels from the 1920s - from the factory. |

An
original Paul Wirt payroll sheet - from the factory. |
| Salesman's
order book for suspenders - another product of Paul Wirt. |

Original
tools from the Wirt Pen factory - notice the 4th from the bottom has a
black handle which is a black chased hard rubber barrel from a Wirt pen. |
| More
tools from the factory. |

And
even more tools from the factory. |
| Factory
crate used for storing pen barrels. |

Factory
crate used for storing taper caps. |
| Here
is one of the Paul Wirt counter top displays holding 12 eye dropper fill
fountain pens - circa 1910. I have heard many people call these
"Dummy" pens. The only dummy involved was the people
that didn't realize these were actually unsold stock with no nibs.
Most likely the nibs were removed for use or scrapped for their gold
content. |

If
you think that finding a 100 year old pen box in mint condition would be
difficult, take a look at this full box of Phenix pen boxes - all mint
& unused with eyedroppers & instructions. |
| Paul
Wirt aluminum advertising sign. Date unknown but probably were
issued for at least 20 years. |

Unused
pressure bars - from the factory. |
| Wirt
order receipt tablet - late teens. |

Wirt

| 1907
receipt for Wirt Pen sale. |

Repair

| Salesman's
log book - from the teens. |

Original
hard rubber fountain Pen sections from 1880s to 1920s - unused, original
stock. |
| Wirt
cardboard sign. Age unknown. |

1901
repair slip. |
| Original
printer's block for advertising or letterheads - circa 1890s |

Another
printer's block - different pen. |
| Yet
another printer's block - again, with a different pen. |
